Lady continues to evade the demons and discovers a laboratory where the White Rabbit has been conducting deadly experiments on other demons. She reunites with one of her colleagues, unaware that Plasma has assumed his identity. When he refers to Hell by it's demon name "Makai", she realizes he's an imposter, but Plasma quickly gains the upper hand. She offers to give him information on DARKCOM in exchange for her life and, when Echidna then ambushes the pair, she accidentally attacks Plasma instead. Lady is then able to kill Echidna by shooting her with demon-killing bullets. She delivers a speech promising to protect the demon refugees, but Baines orders them to be killed. Seeing what Baines has done, Plasma commits suicide by blowing up the lab. Dante is able to use his newfound abilities to save Enzo, Baines, and the other hostages from the plane by transforming into a winged demon form. He then continues his fight with Rundra, who is killed by Lady when they crash land in the Rabbit's hideout. He confesses that she was right about his demonic heritage, and the two agree to work together to find Dante's amulet. Lady determines that the Rabbit needs Dante's blood to activate his plan to destroy the barrier. The Rabbit warns Dante that if he doesn't comply, an army or demons will destroy the world.
